Analysis of the 50 Most Cited Articles on Dabigatran: A Bibliometric Study

Objective: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia in adults. Anticoagulation significantly reduces stroke and related mortality AF patients. This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of top 50 most-cited articles literature on dabigatran, first new-generation oral anticoagulant. Methods: We searched Web Science for with dabigatran title. The cited (T50) were selected. Characteristics (such as author, source, institution, country, scientific category, number citations, citation density, citations per article) analyzed. Results: T50 had total 33,301 citations. average article was 666. United States America (USA) prolific country T50, 36 papers 26,043 Wallentin Lars from Uppsala University 14 13,532 Circulation journal, 11 articles. Conclusions: analyzed classic publications USA, author Wallentin, journal Circulation. Researchers clinicians can easily access influential by reviewing our study.
